About DAVID
David is a lifelong resident of Suffolk and is the Owner/Operator of Bosselman Farms. As a 4th generation farmer working alongside his sons, David has inherited a legacy of stewardship and dedication to the land that he intends to apply to his stewardship of the city.
Running a successful farming business has equipped David with a wide range of skills, including accounting, environmental regulation compliance, logistics management, animal husbandry, and plant propagation. David has extensive civic engagement:
- Chair of the Suffolk Agricultural Advisory Committee
- Chair of the Trustees at Providence United Methodist Church
- Chair of the Suffolk Farm Service Agency, Subsidiary of USDA
- Past President of the Board of Directors for Southern States Petroleum Cooperative
- Active member of the Farm Bureau Board
David has honed his leadership abilities, enabling him to efficiently conduct meetings, manage budgets, and collaborate with diverse teams. His business acumen has taught him the delicate balance between preservation and progress.
David's campaign for mayor is driven by his belief in the power of community, sustainable development, and principled leadership. He is committed to ensuring Suffolk thrives for generations to come, applying the principles that have guided his family's farming legacy to his vision for the city's future.
